Weekend Wrap Up

Friday night was dedicated to catching up on my DVR'd shows and enjoying my newly repaired cable.

Saturday: I hosted the big "THANK YOU for moving all my earthly possessions" dinner at my favorite Mexican restaurant, El Chihuahua. Pictures are on Flickr (along with every other picture I've uploaded. I've yet to really figure out how it all works.) I know I had lots of fun and hope everyone else did as well.

Sunday: Edited and uploaded photos then ran down to Utah County (UC) for my sister's birthday dinner.

Monday: The grand tour of dead relatives and a summer kick off barbeque with the family.

5 Things

1-My former roommate is getting married on Thursday, Congratulations!! I couldn't be happier for you both.

2-I still need to buy a really awesome gift for them; especially considering how inconvenienced she was while the house was for sale.

3-I am LOVING my DVR. Seriously, the best thing since sliced bread.

4-Also loving my iPod and digital camera. Eventually, I'll have to download the photos and possibly create a flickr account.

5-I am having a thank you dinner for everyone who helped me move. When I gave my SIL--THB the invitation (at a baby shower for another SIL, which is why I didn't give it directly to him) I watched her fold it in to the tiniest square possible and shove it to the bottom of her purse. Yeah, I'm gonna have to call and make sure he got it.

Where's My Normal?

So, I'm all moved and all unpacked and still I've been running around like a crazy person the last week! I do have to say that I love, (LOVE!) the new apartment. It is nice (very clean), safe (you have to be buzzed in twice and I'm down a very long hall and around a corner), 2 balconies (that only Spider-man would be able to get to), with underground limited access garage parking and it is close to pretty much everything!

The sale closed with a minimum of fuss and I ended up getting about $7000 more than I originally expected! (Take that estimated mortgage payoff!) This means that I am currently planning my cruise in November, a quick 8 day tour of London and Paris in January or February, and a 10 day tour of Florence, Venice and Rome next November. Could I possibly be more excited? No. I actually couldn't.

I am allowing myself to blow a little of the money right away...1-Big Thank You dinner for my kick-ass family, 2-A wonderful wedding present for my former roommate who had to put up with the complete inconvenience of selling a house, 3-I bought an Ipod (Shuffle) and a digital camera, and finally 4-A bunch of travel stuff to help my traveling adventures go smoothly. Everything else is going in the bank.
